Warwick Quarter Session court July 1829 for stealing lead. 14 yr transportation sentence. To Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) per 'David Lyon', arriving Aug 1830. Gaol Report: Character bad, convicted before. Record states he was single, but then contradicted and states married. (?) Protestant. Clear record in colony. Conditional Pardon 30/07/1840 - no. 2604 Free Certificate 1844
