Re the note of 10th March 2016 above: There appear to be no records confirming a link between Catharine Malone of the Sugar Cane and John Worthington of the Fortune, or his four children. There was another woman in the colony named Catherine Maloney (who claimed to have been aboard the Alexander in 1806) and information about the two seems to have been conflated. More information at the website referenced.

It would seem that John may have been living with Catharine Malone (Convict, Sugar Cane, 1793) for a period and perhaps had 2 or 3 children in the period up to his death in 1825. Indeed, the step-son William Fry, was even known as William Fry Worthington in his later life.
