Samuel Mark Wrattan was listed as 28 years old on arrival. Native Place: Kent. Son of William Wratten and Elizabeth Clayson. Samuel could read, was protestant, single, 5'5ΒΌ" tall, sallow and slightly pockpitted complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, four small moles on right cheek, two on left side of neck and one on left breast bone, scar on back of right wrist, another on knuckle of fore finger of right hand, and on on back of same hand, sun 7 stars, half-moon, and snake on upper left arm, scar on back of fore finger of left hand. 14/10/1845: TOL --Allowed to remain in the District of Brisbane Water on the recommendation of Gosford Bench. 19/5/1856: Married Bridget Fahey at West Maitland, NSW. Children: Mary Elizabeth Writton 1857-1926 Patrick Written 1858-1943 Bridget Catherine Ritton 1860-1931 Sarah Wratten 1862-1947 John Written 1865-1867 Emma Written 1867-1919 Catherine Writton 1869-1959 4/10/1898: Sam;uel died at Minmi, NSW, aged 76.
