1832: On arrival in VDL, Joseph WRAY, 19, was a labourer and single. He had a previous conviction for stealing two watches. 1845: He received a Free Certificate (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-46$init=CON31-1-46p169).

CRIME: Stealing in a dwelling house - he was sentenced on 20 October 1831 to 14 years' transportation. He was admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 15 November 1831. He was sent from the hulk on 11 February for transportation. Joseph WRAY was 18, born 1813, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
