Birth date recently confirmed via 5 DNA matches with descendnts of her brother in Chester UK. The site also says she is 53 she was 23 and was transported to Australia with her 9 month old baby Martha b 27th March 1927 in Chester Gaol
Hannah Wright was the daughter of Roland and Deborah Wright, and was transported for 'stealing shoes'. Hannah was 5’0 3/4” inches tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair, hazel/grey eyes, flat nose, lost 4 upper front teeth, scar ball on left thumb. http://www.jenwilletts.com/Convict Ships.htm has her listed as having 2 children with her on board, but only Martha is recorded further on down the track. 1830: Application to marry John Hall (Shipley), this was rejected as she was already married. 1832: TOL Windsor 13/1/1834: COF 13/9/1834: COF 13/11/1834: Married Richard Worthing (Speke 1820) at Parramatta, they had 7? Children. 13/11/1858: Hannah died aged 53 – the following is the inscription on her headstone (which says she is 57): Sacred to the memory of HANNAH The beloved wife of RICHARD WORTHING who died 13th November 1858 Aged 57 years This lonely heart is at rest Its beating and aching are oer This quiet immovable breast is marred by affliction no more also RICHARD WORTHING husband of the above who died Feb 3 1881 Aged 81 years Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord also ALBERT CECIL ALLEN CRANE grandson of the above who died Sep 9 1881 Aged 1 year 8 months and 12 days Thy voice is now silent the heart be now cold when thy smile and welcome off us of old We may...there is silence And dwell...the memory of joys that have (?) day
