William Wright, 24, committed ... for feloniously stealing 20 guineas, the property of Anthony Brown, of Charlgrove, ... Oxford University and City Herald, 4 March 1809. At our assizes, which were not finished till late on Saturday night, … and William Wright, for stealing twenty guineas in gold, were capitally convicted, as mentioned in our last, and received sentence of death. Oxford Journal, 18 March 1809.
