Listed as being transported to VDL aboard the Deveron, 3.10.1822 from Sydney to Hobart "Vide Mr. Goulburns indent for the brig Deveron dated 21st March 1823, escaping from Port MacQuarie at which place he had been sent by collective sentences at Sydney - to be sent to MacQuarie Harbour for the remainder of his collective sentence, this sentence was passed 1823" May 6th 1824, Absconded from P. B. 24th October last year absent until this month - 50 lashes & 3 days P. B. January 21st 1825, Suspected of being concerned with the affair of robbing Dr. Secombe - dismissed March 25th 1825, charged with being an idle & disorderly person & not using proper means to gain a livelihood - con'd to gaol for 30 days (A.W.H.H.) March 25th 1825, Rogue & vagabond found in Marg?(aret?) St. at 10 minutes before 10 o'clock last night under suspicious circumstances - con'd to gaol 3 months as a rogue & vagabond (A.W.H.H.)
