James was transported for "stealing wearing apparel". Goal Report: A young rogue who has been going round the Country for some time with others subsisting entirely by depredation. James was born in Oundle, Northamptonshire, was 24 years old, single, 5'2 1/2" tall, light brown hair, hazel eyes, fishes upper part right arm, ring pricked middle finger same hand, woman on right arm. There was nothing on his conduct record. May have married Esther Pettigrew at Avoca in 1841 - 3 children listed.




Marriage to Esther. 3 Children 2 Female children 1 born approx 1841 and another 1842. Male child born 30 December 1844 also named James.
