Indent No; 975. 1847 - To Hobart per Lady Franklin. Arrived 6 August 1847. Age; 48 years Offence; Uttering a Forgery. Arrived in Australia per Mangles in 1822 to NSW for stealing a Handkerchief. Native Place; Chatham 1850 - Patients Admitted (earlier at Saltwater River, later Port Arthur), 1850-1853 Date; 30 January 1850. Disease on Admission; Mania Original Date of Admission; 15 May Statement from New Norfolk Asylum; Native of Ireland and has been vaccinated. Laborer. Has been received from Impression Bay where he has been under treatment for general debility and is usually on his knees engaged in prayer, seems very desponding & considers himself unworthy of living in this world. Has lost the sight of the right eye DIED; in Impression Bay - 27 April 1856.
