Charles Abbis was 21 years old on arrival in VDL. He was transported for stealing a wetsheet, the goods of Mr Russel at Hitching. Charles was 5'10 3/4" tall, single, protestant, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, could read and write a little. 1845: Released from 1st stage of probation. 11/1/1848: TOL 20/12/1850: COF 31/3/1853: Steerage passenger on the 'Yarra Yarra' Launceston to Melbourne. (Free). 13/4/1868: Bendigo Advertiser:-Application for a Liquor License. Charles Abbis, Myor's Creek, containing 3 rooms; owned and occupied by applicant, 7/4/1868. No death date or marriage found.
