Henry Adcock was transported on the General Hewett, departing 31st Jul 1813 and arriving 7th Feb 1814 with 301 passengers.
The Windham and General Hewett left England the 24th of August, in convoy with the Wansted, Capt. Moore, who sailed from hence last Thursday for Batavia; the General Hewett arrived at Rio the 17th of November, and sailed again the 2d of December. Together with the military detachments, she received on board for this Settlement 300 male prisoners, of whom we are sorry to report the death of 35, whose names we shall endeavour to procure an account of, and publish in the next Gazette, for the information of their friends and families in Great Britain. He was tried for forgery/possessing a forged note, on 4 2 1813, at Old Bailey on 7 4 1813, sentenced to 14years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 2 1814 after a journey of 6.5months on GENERAL HEWETT. He married perhaps secondly Margaret (Palmer perhaps her second (2of3? marriage) on 16 9 1814 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He had his Absolute Pardon when he died in 1823 age39. She, described as Mrs (Palmer), was tried w/2others for stealing, on 16 7 1812, calico of Richard (Terrington) at Old Bailey on 16 9 1812, sentenced to death commuted to Life, held at London/Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 1 1814 after a voyage of 5.5months on WANSTEAD. She married thidly William (Haslam his first marriage) on 5 4 1824 at St Lukes CofE Liverpool. She produced 1known child in her lifetime. HENRY ADCOCK was indicted, for that he, on the 4th of February , without lawful excuse had in his custody and possession, a certain forged bank note for the payment of 5 l. he knowing it to be forged .
