Family connections for Philip (Aldridge) are: ALDRIDGE Philip/William (Aldridge) was born about 1772. He was tried for stealing a mare of Samuel (Hayward) of Grantford at Suffolk Assizes in March 1790, sentenced to death reprieved to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship ADMIRAL BARRINGTON. He was Free by Servitude by 1815. He was recorded in 1826 as a farmer & in 1828 as farmer with his family on 22acres at Richmond; he was recorded in 1830 as a settler. He died on 7 5 1832 age60. [Some details taken from this Website] Ke/azia/h/Cassia (Smith) was born on 19 5 1798 & baptised on 8 9 1801 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She married firstly at age16 William (Aldridge) on 30 5 1814 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. She was recorded in 1828 as Louisa (Aldridge) with her family at Richmond. She married secondly John (Foley his second relationship) about 1833 & produced 2children. She died on 1 7 1870 age72 mother of 8children. She died on 19 3 1817 age23m. 2.Elizabeth (Aldridge) was born on 19 6 1818 & baptised on 2 8 1818 at St Peters CofE Richmond. She died on 21 4 1890 age71. 3.Ann (Aldridge) was born on 25 4 1820 & baptised on 8 10 1820 at St Peters CofE Richmond. She was recorded in 1828 with her parents at Richmond. She died in 1869 age about49. 4.Sophia (Aldridge) was born on 18 6 1823 & baptised on 19 11 1823 at Christ Church Castlereagh. She was recorded in 1828 with her parents at Richmond. At the assizes … which, ended Monday, the 14 following prisoners were capitally convicted and received sentence of death, viz. … Philip Aldridge, for stealing a mare belonging to Samuel Hayward Grantford. … Before the Judge left town, he reprieved the 4 last. The other 10 were left for execution. Ipswich Journal, 20 March 1790.

Married Keziah Smith 30 May 1814 at Windsor. Keziah was the daughter of Edward Turleigh Smith (Convict, Marquis Cornwallis, 1796) and Jane Maher (Convict, Britannia, 1797). He was aged about 32 and she was about 16. The couple had 6 children.




William married Keziah Smith, 30 May 1814 at Windsor. He was aged 42 at the time and she was just 16. Keziah was the daughter of Edward Turleigh Smith (Convict, Marquis Cornwallis, 1796) and Jane Maher (Convict, Britannia, 1797). William and Keziah had 6 children between 1815 and 1830. After William died, Keziah remarried, one John Foley (Convict, Queen, 1791) and had a further 2 children.
