Born County Down Ireland 1795. Lived in Stranraer Wigtownshire Scotland married to Martha ALLISON with eight (8) children. Crime happened in Fisher Street Stranraer on 27th May 1838. Sentenced Edinburgh 16th July 1838 to be hanged in Stranraer 7th August 1938. Sentence commuted to Transportation for life. Arrived Australia 22nd March 1839 on John Barry. Resided in Hyde Park Barracks until 19/08/1846 Ticket of leave No 46/1127. Died Parramatta 30th January 1869. Name on Death certificate is Joseph ELLISON
