National Archives of Scotland: Hugh Bald, married, Age: 36, painter, Address: Stevenlaw's Close, High Street, Edinburgh, Origin: Born in Edinburgh. Hugh was married with 2 children, 5'4 1/2" tall, Light brown hair, light blue eyes, fair complexion, middling stout, literate, cut marks on left and right shoulders. 12/12/1864: TOL 26/7/1865: Hugh Bald, t.l., appeared to an information charging him with a breach, of the ticket-of-leave regulations in not reporting his place of abode to the police. Cautioned. 16/1/1869: CP, York. 11/5/1872: COF, Fremantle. 1878: Hugh died, listed on his record on the Fremantle Prison Database, not listed on the WA BDM. No marriage listed.
