Northampton Mercury Northamptonshire, England 5 Jan 1839 BUCKS EPIPHANY SESSIONS Wm. Bandy, 66, Jonathan Bandy, 17, and Thomas Bandy, 21, were charged on suspicion of having, at the parish of Padbury, feloniously stolen an ewe sheep, the property or Thomas Harwood. In consequence of a flaw in the indictment Wm. Bandy was discharged and Jonathan Bandy was found Not guilty. Thomas Bandy pleaded Guilty, and was sentenced to 15 years' transportation. William was Thomas' grandfather. Parents were John Band and Mary Ann Paine. _____________________________ Thomas Bandy was listed as 21 years old on arrival. Native Place: Buckinghamshire. Thomas was illiterate, Protestant, single, 5'4" tall, dark sallow complexion, dark brown hair, dark hazel eyes, eyebrows partially meeting, mark of a boil on back of right wrist, indented scar inside top of little finger of right hand. 8/10/1847: TOL, Bathurst. Listed as Thomas Dandy.
