IN VDL: 6 September, 1844: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as convict #13841, 31 years old, married to Harriet with two children; a porter, Protestant and able to read. His native place was Leeds. 16 March, 1847: Listed as a PPH (Probation Pass Holder) 2nd Class. 29 March, 1847: Sent from the Prisoners' Barracks to Hobart Hospital (https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON33-1-59$init=CON33-1-59p47). --0--

OTHER: 6 March, 1844: Benjamin Bapty was sentenced to 7 years' transportation for stealing two coats, the property of Mr Potter at Leeds. He had a previous conviction for cutting and maiming (12 months) (http://foundersandsurvivors.org/pubsearch/convict/chain/ai02804). --0--
