DEATH. BARNETT—On the 28th ult., at his residence, Pudman Creek, Robert Barnett, aged 81 years. Native of Bath, England. The Burrowa News, 2 Jan 1880. DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT.—Mr. Robert Barnett, for nearly 50 years a resident of this district, died at his residence, Pudman Creek, on the 28th ult., at the unusual old age of 81 years. Mr. Barnett was well respected. He leaves a wife and family. The Burrowa News, 2 Jan 1880. In the Supreme Court of Now South Wales. ECCLESIASTICAL JURISDICTION. In the estate, goods, chattels, credits, and effects of Robert Barnett, late of Pudman Creek, in the Colony of New South Wales, farmer, deceased, intestate. NOTICE is hereby given that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof in the Government Gazette, application will be made to this Honorable Court, in its Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, that letters of administration of all and singular the estate, goods, chattels, credits, and effects of the abovenamed deceased may be granted to Bridget Barnett, of Pudman Creek aforesaid, the widow of the said deceased,— Dated this 23rd day of January, 1880. Robert Barnett, Sesostris, 1826, Second Class Conditional Pardon, 2 Mar 1846. 46/005. Robert Barnett, per Sesostris, Bank Warrant, No 41/27. Condition: Ticket of Leave. -------------------------------------------------- SECOND CLASS CONDITIONAL PARDONS—His Excellency the Governor has directed it to be notified, that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to authorise the issue, in conformity with the provisions of the Act of Parliament, 6 Victoria, c. 7, of Conditional Pardons of the second class, to the undermentioned individuals, to take effect in the Australian Colonies, including New Zealand, but not elsewhere. As new forms and new registers have become necessary to include conditions of these pardons, some delay must take place before the proper instruments can be issued to the parties. As soon, however, as they have been prepared, and are ready for delivery, a further notice will be issued, apprising the said parties accordingly: — Robert Barnett, Sesostris ; Sydney Morning Herald, 25 Dec 1845.

Robert married Bridget Hehir in Yass, NSW, Australia, 3/5/1841. Some of their children were James, Catherine and Elizabeth. He was a farmer at Pudman Creek NSW. His early life in England may have included a career in the army. He may have joined the 32nd Regiment of Foot which fought at the Battle Of Waterloo.
