John BARRY arrived free on the ‘Tenasserim’ 1844. Convicted for stealing a watch, at the Hobart Q.S. Court 15 Nov 1845. 7 yr transportation sentence - to be served in Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania).
Single man; aged 27 yrs; farm labourer; Roman Catholic; can read & write a little; 5’2 1/2” height; fair complexion; dk brown hair; blue eyes; tatoos.
Native place of birth: Shadwell, London
