The Convict Indentures state that Mary Berry was 20 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of Galway. She was a country servant. Mary was convicted of stealing clothes at Galway City in July 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. She had one prior convictions and served one month. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 0 1/2 inches, complexion dark ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes dark grey. Transport number 139. Prisoner number 138-38.
