Sheriff White yesterday received a respite for Patrick Blaney, Patrick Doherty, and Thomas Adderley, under sentence, of death for the robbery of Counsellor Scully’s house. The joy of the unfortunate men can scarcely be described when the communication was made to them the Sheriff, who did not leave the gaol yard until the whole the irons were knocked off. Saunders News-Letter, 21 Nov 1818.
