Ellen Bourne was 22 years old on arrival, protestant and single, her native place was Tipperary. 17/6/1828: Married Abraham Wintle (Shipley 1819) at Parramatta. 1828 Census: Wintle, Abraham, 33, free by servitude, Shipley, 1819, Protestant, overseer, to Rob. Johnston, Camden Wintle, Ellen, 22, government servant, Brothers, 1826, 7 years, Protestant Wintle, Elizabeth, 7m, born in the colony. 11/6/1833: COF 5/5/1877 The Sydney Morning Herald: WINTLE. —April 28, at her residence, Glenhill, near Picton, Ellen, relict of the late Abraham Wintle, in the 72nd year of her age. An old and respected resident of the district. Deeply regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives. Abraham Wintle died 15/11/1865 at his residence, Glen Hill, near the Oaks.
