John Brown was supposedly, 15 years old (according to the Old Bailey records) when indicted for stealing a snuff box, value £2, the property of Phillip Phillips. He is listed as aged 22 on arrival in other records. I found no records that were clearly 'this' John Brown as there were 3 John Brown's also transported on the John in 1836.
