Family connections for Laurence (Butler) are: BUTLER Laurence (Butler) was born about 1750. He was tried as an Irish Rebel at Wexford Ireland in 1798, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 30 10 1802 after a voyage of 5months on ATLAS. In 1807 he was assisted (a loan?) by John (Blaxland) & seems to have become a furniture maker. He was issued his Conditional Pardon in 1808/9. He was Free by Servitude by 1812. He was a cabinet maker when he had a relationship with Ann (Roberts) whom he married on 1 7 1817 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. In 1816 he was listed for issue of grant of land & in that year he provided (cedar?) furniture for Courts of Justice & Chambers in Sydney. In 1819 he seems to have been involved in assault of an Eliza (Palmer). He died on 4/7 12 1820 age70. [Some details taken from this Website] Ann (Robert/s) was born about 1767/77 & became a servant. She was recorded as from Monmouthshire Ireland when tried at Worcester Assizes on 7 3 1808, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 16 11 1808 after a voyage of 8months on SPEKE. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom 5/1359 on 6 6 1814; she was 5'2.5" fair pale complexion brown hair hazel eyes. She was Free by Servitude by 1819. She died in 1824 age47. He (Patrick George) died on 3 11 1819 age4 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 4.Mary Ann (Butler) was born on 1 6 1817 & baptised on 1 7 1817 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. 5.Elizabeth (Butler) was born on 19 8 1819 & baptised on 26 9 1819 at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
