Transported before for Life at Norwich for house breaking, served 9 years and received a Conditional Pardon from Governor Macquarie, then came down here. Wife Ann at Launceston, VDL, 2 children with her, the rest of children about Launceston Married, 6 children. Verdict - Guilty Last Day, Friday Charles Mackie and John Harris, stealing from the person, and Robert Kettle, receiving, were severally sentenced to be transported for fourteen years. Anne Byrne was convicted at Dublin City in March 1809 for stealing lace. 7yr transportation sentence - to New South Wales per the 'Providence' 1810. Aged 30 yrs. Transferred to Port Dalrymple, Van Diemen's Land per the 'Lady Nelson' 1812. Married Robert KITTLE (? Kettle) 23 March 1814 at Launceston (ref. 36/1/1 166)
