Family connections for Mary (Cable) are: CABLE/KABLE Mary (Cable/Kable) was born on 19 3 1775. She was tried for shop lifting linen at Essex Assizes/Quarter Sessions & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 5 1804 after a voyage of 6months on EXPERIMENT. She married firstly Thomas (Rudd) Free by Servitude on 12 6 1806 at St Johns CofE Parramatta & produced 10children. She was Free by Servitude by 1813. She was recorded in 1828 with her family at Airds.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] CCONVICTdone Thomas (Rudd) was born on 28 8 1766 & became a dustman. He was tried for theft, on 5 5 1787, of mens shoes at Old Bailey on 23 5 1787 (quick justice), sentenced to 7years & held probably at London or Middlesex Gaol Delivery & 2years on hulks at Portsmouth & arrived in NSW on 28 6 1790 after a voyage of 5months on Fleet ship NEPTUNE; a voyage noted for extreme brutality of prisoners with a high death rate. In the colony, Mary married Thomas Rudd (Convict, Earl Cornwallis, 1801). They married at St Johns, Parramatta, June 12 1806. Thomas Rudd of the parish of St Johns and Mary Kable of ditto were married in this church by banns this twelveth [sic] day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and six by me Samuel Marsden. Both Thomas and Sarah made their X marks in the register in the presence of William Holmes and Hannah Leeson who both also made their X marks.




Mary was convict who was tried at Essex Assizes and sentenced to 7 years transportation for shoplifting - stealing a roll of linen. She arrived in the colony aboard the sip 'Experiment' on 12 Jun 1804.
