RETURN OF ALL CONVICTS ASSIGNED BETWEEN THE 1st DAY OF JANUARY AND THE 31st DAY OF MARCH, 1832. 203. Campbell Hugh, James Pattison, soldier and officer's servant, to Michael Ryan, Liverpool NSW Govt Gazette, 13 June 1832.




Bleach Green Robbery. Hugh Campbell -for stealing from the bleach-green of Messrs. Alex. Stewart and John Cunningham. Joseph Shanks -witness is it the employment of Messrs. Stewart and Cunningham-has the charge of the green on the morning of the 27th June, missed two pieces of lawns from the green -saw them same morning in the house of James Graham, at Shankhill -prisoner was also there. Robert Murphy-Between two and three in the morning saw prisoner on the road near the grave yard, he had two webs rolled up in his coat -witness was at a wake at John Adam's, when prisoner came to the door, and asked for liberty to light his pipe – he was apprehended a few minutes after with the two webs in his possession, which witness put his mark on, and now identifies-the webs were also identified by first witness, (Shanks). Joseph Green--Is in employment of Messrs. Stewart and Cunningham -missed the two pieces in the morning.- Guilty-7 years transportation. Belfast News-Letter, 14 Aug 1829.
