Edward Carey was 30 years old, married with 3 male children, and his native place was Tipperary County. 1847: TOL Port Macquarie 22/11/1850: TOL cancelled for being absent from his district. 21/4/1851: Syd.Gaz. Absconders list: Edward Carey, 43 years old, 5'4 1/2" tall, ruddy much freckled complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes, eyebrows meeting, horizontal scar centre of forehead, 2 scars on top of right side of head, mark of a burn of left breast, small mole inside lower left arm, scar on ball of left thumb, large red blotch on front of small of left leg - sine November 1850.
