Isaac COHEN was convicted at the CCC, London on 4 March 1844 for stealing a handkerchief from the person. Previously convicted of embezzlement and had spent time in prison. 10yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Maria Somes' arriving 30 July 1844. Single man; aged 30 yrs; a tailor; 5'8 1/2"; can read & write; Jewish. Native place - Shoreditch, London. Father: Abraham Mother: Deborah Brothers: Samuel, Emanuel, Isiah, Benjamin & .....
