James Colclough arrived per MANGLES 1828. The Mangles departed Dublin 23/2/1828 and arrived in Port Jackson 2/6/1828. He was tried at Wicklow in 1827. James was transported for STEALING ASS. He was 17 years old, 5'4 1/2" tall, sallow complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes, scar on forehead, single, and his native place was Wexford. 1832: Sentenced to Maitland to 6 months in an iron gang for gross imposition in absenting himself from his gang under pretence of being free. 2/5/1833: Absconded from No. 6 Road Party. 1844: TOL Parramatta. 13/6/1845: COF 29/4/1844: Married Margaret Kane (per Margaret 1840) at Parramatta. They had 9 children, 5 male and 4 female. James and Margaret settled in the far west of NSW and then in Narrabri. 1894: James died.
