The First Fleet consisted of two Royal Navy escort ships, HMS Sirius and HMS Supply accompanied by six convict transports, the Alexander, Charlotte, Friendship, Lady Penrhyn, Prince of Wales and the Scarborough, and three store ships, the Borrowdale, Fishburn and Golden Grove. Judith Conway was 24 years old on arrival in NSW. Colonial Secretary Papers: CONWAY, Judith 1816 Apr 10: On list of convicts embarked on the "Kangaroo" for the Derwent (Reel 6004; 4/3494 p.461) C1816: Married William Cobb (Indefatigable 1812) – They had 2 children, William and Hannah. 8/12/1820: William Cobb died. March 1822: Free Certificate. 1823: Married James Lowe (Minorca 1801) – they had 2 children, John Valentine Lowe 14/2/1824 and James Samuel 14/12/1827.
