Henry Cramp, 21, charged with stealing from the shop of Owen M'Main, at Holywell, several tools and a large quantity of leather, of the value of 4£, his property. Northampton Mercury, 25 Feb 1837. Midsummer County Sessions. HENRY CRAMP, 21, was charged with stealing silver watch, the property of his father-in-law, John Burdett, Arnesby, on the 10th of June . The prisoner, it will be recollected, was apprehended Serjeant Withers, in Leicester, some months ago, for robbing his master, Owen M'Main, Holywell. Northamptonshire, and convicted at the last assizes. He had scarcely got out of prison before he committed the robbery with which he now stood charged. Since his he now stood charged. Since his liberation, had resided in the house of the prosecutor, in the temporary absence of whom, he contrived to steal the watch and a quantity of money. The prosecutor and Mr. M'Main traced him through Northampton to London, and apprehended him the Belle Savage-yard, with the watch in his possession.—Guilty, Fourteen years. Leicestershire mercury, 1 July 1837.
