Lewis Cribbs was transported on the Seppings, departing 1st Dec 1839 and arriving 22nd Apr 1840 with 11 passengers.
A Barque of 393 Tons. Left Calcutta 1st Dec 1839 and arrived Port Jackson 22nd April 1840 via Port Phillip. Carried a cargo of sugar and 18 convicts shipped from Calcutta, four soldiers on board guarding the convicts. Of the 18 convicts 11 are destined for NSW. Two died of tuberculosis (consumption) and one had gone overboard and drowned while suffering from temporary insanity. Also onboard where the following Cabin Passengers :- Mr & Mrs Nails & Family Mr Cooper Mr Brown Mr Sparks Mr Hutchinson Mr Buchran.

Tried Bombay Supreme Court India 11th July 1839. Former Sentence - 22 month gaol for desertion from his ship. Description - Height 5'7", Hair black, Eyes brown, scar outside right eye and jaw.
