Jeremiah Crossley was 21 years old on arrival. 1832-1838: Assigned to George MacLeay at 'Brownlow Hill' Camden. 10/5/1838: COF 25/5/1840: Married Sarah James (1824-1909) at St John's Parramatta. Sarah was born in the Colony and she and Jeremiah had 15 children, 2 were stillborn. They lived at Yass, NSW. 1/8/1884 Jeremiah committed suicide at his residence at Wargeila. He had been suffering from acute rheumatism for a long time and before he shot himself, he had said to his wife that he would do away with himself, rather than to suffer the pain he had on the previous Tuesday night.
