The ships surgeon treated Sarah's daughter Catherine on the voyage, and (mistakenly) refers to her a a convict: ADM 101/24/31827-1828 Medical and surgical journal of the Elizabeth convict Ship, for 6 July 1827 to 26 January 1828 by Joseph H Hughes, Surgeon, during which time the said Elizabeth was employed in transporting female convicts from Ireland to Sydney, New South Wales. Folios 4-5: Catherine Cummins, aged 14, Convict; disease or hurt, headache, sickness at the stomach, pulse small and quick, 90, tongue whitish and skin moist. Put on sick list, 9 October 1827. Discharged, 20 October 1827. Of a very delicate habit, but very irritable disposition, excessively prone to fits of passion, was reported to be feverish by her mother, and convinced she would die.
