John Dale was convicted at Norfolk on 09/03/1836 for stealing. 7 yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Eden' arriving 22/12/1836. Ticket of Leave 05/01/1841 Conditional Pardon 18/11/1842

Took steamship "Kangaroo to mainland,near Portland.Now several thousand descendants,including my wife.Fascinating story.
