married Ellen Sweeney,convict #407 in double wedding with brother Jeremiah #1200 and Ellen Talbot #194,C.of E. at Battery point,Hobart,8/9/1845.Brother Jeremiah # 1200 attended.5 convicts altogether. Took steamship “Kangaroo to mainland,near Portland.Now several thousand descendants,including my wife.Fascinating story.

Add: Johns wife,Ellen (Sweeney) was an inmate at Cascades womens factory prison.
