John Darragh, alias John McCulloch, Archduke Charles, 1813, Absolute Pardon, 3 Apr 1815. --------------------------------------------------- He last his Absolute Pardon, which was then advertised for as follows: TWO GUINEAS REWARD. FOR the Recovery of a FREE PARDON, No. 290, dated 3d April, 1815, in Favor of John Darragh, alias M'Cullogh, which was entrusted, about three Weeks ago, to the Care of a Man belonging to the Clearing Gang on the Estate of the Rev. SAMUEL MARSDEN, and indorsed with the following Description ; viz. Native Place, County Armagh ; Trade, Linen Weaver: Age, thirty years; Height. 5 feet 7 ½ inches ; Complexion, fair pale ; Hair, dark brown ; Eyes, hazle. By Command of His Excellency, F. GOULBURN, Colonial Secretary. Colonial Secretary's Office, 29th Aug. 1822. Sydney Gazette, 30 Aug 1822. -------------------------------------------------- JOHN DARRAGH (free), and Hugh M'Guire (by the Glory), are appointed Sub-Inspectors of Clearing Gangs ; the former to be stationed at Rooty Hill ; the latter at Liverpool ; with Salaries, each of Forty Pounds a Year, payable from the Colonial Revenue, in Dollars, at the Exchange of Five Shillings. THE PUBLIC are hereby cautioned not to harbour or give credit to my Wife, MARY DARRAGH, known by the name of MARY WADE, as I will not hold myself responsible for any debts she may contract, any person or persons harbouring or concealing her after this public notice, I am determined to prosecute according to law. N. B. Mary Darragh who is a prisoner of the Crown, was with her husband in the employ of HENRY O'BRIEN Esqr. as a yearly servant; she was subpoened to the Criminal Court on a trial of importance, and has not been since heard off.
