Local Intelligence. John Francis and John Bailey, charged with stealing potatoes, the property of Thomas Dunsden, Steeple Ashton. Salisbury Journal, 25 April 1836. Seven Years' Transportation—Daniel Richens, felonies at Crudwell, two indictments—John Francis, stealing potatoes at Steeple Ashton; John Bailey, indicted with the above, 6m. imp. Devizes and Wiltshire Gazette, 7 July 1836. On Thursday last, the following convicts were removed from Fisherton gaol, and out on board the York hulk, at Gosport:—Michael Russell, James Mead—for Life. Adam Eatwell, George Watkins, for Fourteen years. William Raines, Daniel Richens, John Francis, Henry Wicks, John Holloway, and John Atkins—for Seven years each. Salisbury Journal, 1 Aug 1836.
