Leicester Assizes.— Jos. Godwin and Wm. Page, for stealing a pony and an ass; ...—were severally sentenced to death. Stamford Mercury, 24 Aug 1821. ---------------------------------------------------- The following Convicts were removed from the County Gaol Tuesday morning last, put on His Majesty’s hulk the Belleraphon, Sheerness. —-Wm. Page, Joseph Godwin. Thomas Shaw, John Johnson, Thomas Allen, Charles Brown, Samuel Measures, and Thomas Ward, to be transported for life. Joseph Shaw and William Soden, for seven years.
