Leicester Assizes.— Jos. Godwin and Wm. Page, for stealing a pony and an ass; ...—were severally sentenced to death. Stamford Mercury, 24 Aug 1821. ---------------------------------------------------- The following Convicts were removed from the County Gaol Tuesday morning last, put on His Majesty’s hulk the Belleraphon, Sheerness. —-Wm. Page, Joseph Godwin. Thomas Shaw, John Johnson, Thomas Allen, Charles Brown, Samuel Measures, and Thomas Ward, to be transported for life. Joseph Shaw and William Soden, for seven years. Leicester Chronicle, 29 Sept 1821.
