my gt gt grandfather married jane greenland nee greenland. Byard got into a drunken argument with his nephew from jane's side called Uriah Greenland, over the sharing of money from the days reaping. Somehow Uriah was stabbed and died, no murder weapon found. Byard was initially given te death sentence but after public request the sentence was changed to a prison sentence in Freemantle. He was later allowed to remarry Catherine Latchford also an ex convict. A year before he died Byard fathered a daughter with Emily Gardner.. Millicent Maude Greenland 1878
