On arrival in Hobart, Ann was taken to the Cascades Female Factory in Hobart, Tasmania. Convict No 639, her indent record described her as: - Trade: House Servant & Plain cook - Single, Read/Write: Both - Height: 5 feet, 3/4", Age: 26, - Complexion: Dark, Head: Oval, Hair: Black - Visage: Oval, Forehead: High - Eyebrows: Black, Eyes: Hazel, Nose: Long - Mouth: Wide, Chin: Round - Native Place: Hertford On 17th March 1848, Ann was given permission to marry Henry Wicker, who was also a convict. (Reference Convict Applications For Permissions to Marry). They were married at the Bethesda Church, Church of England on the 13th April 1848. Robert Wicker (Henry's brother) and his wife Elizabeth (nee Brooks) attended the wedding. Ann died 1 Sep 1854 in Bendigo, refer Registration Number 4743. The death certificate notes 5 children: - Sarah Elizabeth, age 6 years - Henry, age 5 years - Thomas, age 3 years - Ann, age 2 years - Alfred, age 4 months
