Jane 'Host', was charged 'with stealing, in the house of G. Hoskins, at Liverpool, six silver table-spoons, five silver tea-spoons, and a plated mustard castor'. She was convicted 5 Mar 1814 at the Lancaster assizes, and sentenced to death, commuted to transportation for life. She was transported on the 'Northampton' December 1814, and arrived Sydney June 1815. Marriage on 4 Dec 1815 at St Johns, Parramatta, NSW, William Skinn (Prisoner, Gambier 2nd) age 34, Jane 'Host' (Prisoner, Northampton) age 26, both of the parish, both signed, by banns by Samuel Marsden. Witnesses Henry Shannon, Eleanor Monroo marked the register with a cross. Jane and William had children: Rachel Skinn 1816–1902 Mary Ellen Skinn 1819–1918 Charles Skinn 1821–1822 Death 22 Mar 1822 Jane Skin aged 35 years in the district of Liverpool, cause of death 'apoplectic' in burial register. Burial 24 March 1822 Liverpool. Because her death was sudden, there was an inquest.
