STEALING IRON.-On Tuesday, Joseph Child and William Jacobs were charged at the Court-House with having stolen an iron hoop, belonging to a cart, the property of John Atkinson, of Hunslet.. The article was found at a broker's shop, In Meadow lane, where the prisoners were proved to have sold it, and having been clearly Identified, they were committed for trial. Leeds Mercury, 24 Feb 1838. Leeds borough Sessions. Transported fourteen years—Joseph Child (20.) and Wm. Jacobs (1?,) s. iron from John Atkinson. Leeds Intelligencer, 14 April 1838.
