Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Burglary and Detection of the Thieves.—On Thursday night last, the house of Mr. Mounsher of this town, was broken open and a quantity of silver spoons and other articles stolen there, from. Active measures being immediately taken, the thieves were traced to Yeovil and there secured with the goods in their possession. Their names are Charlotte James, Mary Ann Rogers, Samuel Hunt, and John Stevens. Monday evening they underwent a long examination, which ended in their being fully committed for trial.
