Tried at the Old Bailey, 3 July 1837. 1634. JOHN MILLWARD and JAMES JONES were indicted for a robbery upon John Love on the 27th of June, at St. Botolph without Bishopsgate, putting him in fear, and taking from his person, and against his will, 1 purse, value 3s. 44 sovereigns 12 half-sovereigns, and 2 bank notes for the payment of and of the value of £5 each; the goods monies and property of the said John Love. ….
