Violent Theft: robbery. 28th January 1861 Verdict Guilty > unknown; Guilty > unknown; Guilty > unknown Sentence Imprisonment > penal servitude; Imprisonment > penal servitude; Imprisonment > penal servitude THOMAS GRAHAM (22), GEORGE WILLIAMS (17), and EDWARD KINKIN (18) , Robbery with violence on Daniel Bushell, and stealing from him 1 watch and 1 chain, value 21l., his property. GRAHAM— GUILTY .*†— Four Years' Penal Servitude. WILLIAMS— GUILTY .**†— Six Years' Penal Servitude. KINKIN— GUILTY .**† Kinkin was further charged with having been before convicted. PORTER WILLIAM DUNNAWAY (Policeman, H 129). I produce a certificate (Read: "Middlesex Sessions, Monday, 15th February, 1858, Edward Kin-kin, Convicted on his own confession of stealing a watch from the person—Confined 12 Months")—that applies to the prisoner Kinkin. Reconvicted in WA. 1869: Listed as Montague, Edward Kinkin married Priscilla Hill at Albany, WA. 1883: Montague, William Robert. 1877-1879: Montague, Margaret Matilda Kinkin died, aged 2 years. 1887-1888: Margaritta Victoria died, aged 8 months. 1888: Stillborn male 1891: Montague, Francis Albert Kinkin died, aged 2 months. Albany, WA - Aiding and abetting a larceny from the person - 10 years. 14/8/1875: TOL 24/4/1878: Police Gazette, WA: Eeg. No. 9982 Edward Kinkin Montague, at Bunbury Police Court, on 12th inst.; convicted of aiding and abetting a larceny from the person, on the 8th May, 1870, at Albany, in Western Australia, and sentenced to 10 years' p.s., intends residing in the Wellington District. 18/5/1881: COF Comments: Labourer, carpenter. 1927: Edward K Montague died, Perth. 1916: Priscilla died at Plantagenet, WA.
