Mary Lamond, alias Lamonte, was indicted for breaking into the house of William Smith, farmer at Hartston, near Paisley, and forcing open a lockfast chest, and abstracting divers articles of wearing apparel, together with 35s. in silver and of being habit and repute a common thief, pleaded Guilty, and was sentenced to 7 years transportation.
