Daniel LEEHANE was admitted to Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin, on 24 August 1837 having been sentenced to life for cow stealing by Judge Crampton at the July Assizes in Co Kerry. Prisoner#818, he was 42 years old, 5'5", with grey hair, brown eyes and a fresh complexion. He was sent from Kilmainham on 26 August to board the Neptune (see Ireland, Prison Registers, 1790-1924, Dublin, Kilmainham 1836-1910).

Printed Indentures states that David Leehane died at sea on 25 December 1837. He was tried at Kerry on 17 July 1837.
