At Bedford Assizes, ... George Lewis and Michael Wright, for uttering a forged five pound Bank of England note, received sentence of death, but were reprieved. Evans and Ruffy’s Farmers Journal, 27 March 1820 --------------------------------------------------------------------- John Ferguson and George Lewis were indicted for stealing two bales of wool from the estate of Molle's Main, at Minto, the property of William Howe, Esq ; and John Whitehead and Daniel McLucas, the younger, were also indicted as accessaries before and after the fact.
