Place of origin: Newington, Surrey No; 1128 CON18-1-17 Image 62 - Aged; 24 years old. Lost right leg 1861 -HEALTH & WELFARE. Name; William Locket Port Arthur Insane Asylum. Admission dates: 9 May 1861 Ship to colony: Moffatt 10 May 1861 - Admitted from the Invalid Yard. Discharged to Invalid Yard on the 15 July 1861 1862 - POSSIBLE DEATH RECORD - 26 January 1862. Believed to be William Lockett aged about 48 years old a pauper Cause of death; Not Know. Skeleton found in the bush about a mile from Port Arthur which from a wooden leg found with the remains leaves no doubt the man was William Lockett who left the Pauper Depot on the 26 January and not since heard of.
